Looks like Ronaldo international career is over for Brazil. After playing in the FIFA World Cup last year, Brazilian striker has not played any game for Brazil and now coach Dunga has ruled him out of the Copa America as well. Dunga is interested to test out new players instead of relying on Ronaldo once again, who is not getting any younger and with performance level also dipping, I completely agree with Dunga move.
After switching from Real Madrid to AC Milan, Ronaldo has played well in Italian Serie A but international football is lot different from club football. And with Ronaldo not expected to play in the next World Cup, it’s better to build new team with promising youngsters. The Copa America is scheduled to take place from June 26 to July 15. Brazil, the defending champions, will face the challenge of Mexico, Ecuador and Chile in their first round group.
